On mission for the senegalese community

As a non-profit organization, SENCAD’s mission includes but is not limited to the following:

Promoting of self- development through education, training, and networking.
Facilitating Community members to obtain administrative
documents in collaboration with the Senegalese administration.
Assisting in immigration and legal matters.
Promoting of the teaching and understanding of the culture that binds us together.
Providing the logistic and airfare fees for terminally ill members who desire to return to their country of origin, required to make such return possible.
Contributing to the burial expenses of deceased members up to the amount of body transportation cost to Dakar, Senegal.

Our Vision

SENCAD’s vision is to succeed in setting up a strong community, which can guarantee our offspring a better future. Our vision includes but is not limited to:

Having the SENCAD venue to host community activities
(Daycare Center, Events, etc.…)
Housing for newcomers,
Selling Destionation of Senegal (via summer vacation programs).

Communication Committee

The Communication Committee chair is responsible for the organization’s overall communication strategy including the web site content and management. The committee shall designate the spokesperson of the organization.

Education Committee

The Education Committee chair is responsible for the organization of the education programs and activities. He/she shall coordinate all aspects related to education, culture, and training with four other members designated by the chair of the board.

Cooperative Committee

The cooperative committee is responsible for strengthening the capacities of the movement to help and facilitate adhered members to acquire houses or dwellings built in a healthy and sustainable living environment.

Organization Committee

The organization committee shall be responsible for all logistics and planning of SENCAD activities.

Finance Committee

The financial officer is the chair of the finance committee which includes three other board members and the executive director and his/her treasurer. The Financial officer coordinates all expenses of the organization and supervises the work of the treasurer.

Sencad is a 501C non-profit organization that encourages self-empowerment, development, and creativity through community awareness programs by exposing talents and skills promoting our cultural values in the diaspora.
