The chair is responsible for to convening regularly scheduled meetings. He, also, shall preside or arrange for other members of the Executive Committee to preside at each meeting in the following order: vice-chair, secretary, and treasurer. The chair shall appoint members of all committees and designate the chair of each committee. He/she shall be an ex-officio member of all committees with the authority to vote.
The Vice-President shall perform the duties and have powers of the board chair during the absence or disability of the board chair.
The secretary shall be responsible for keeping records of the board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings, sending out meeting announcements, distributing copies of minutes and the agenda to each board member, and assuring that corporate records are maintained.
The financial officer shall oversee expenses of the organization and present financial reports at each board meeting. The financial officer shall chair the finance committee, assist in the preparation of the budget, help develop fundraising plans, and make financial information available to the board members and the voting members.
The financial officer is the chair of the finance committee which includes three other board members and the executive director and his/her treasurer. The Financial officer coordinates all expenses of the organization and supervises the work of the treasurer.
The Education Committee chair is responsible for the organization of the education education program and activities. He/she shall coordinate all aspects related to education, culture, and training with four other members designated by the chair of the board.
The Communication Committee chair is responsible for the organization’s overall communication strategy including the web site content and management. The committee shall designate the spokesperson of the organization.
The Legal & Benefits Committee shall put together a benefit plan and coordinate all aspects related to legal matters.
The organization committee shall be responsible for all logistics and planning of SENCAD activities.
The cooperative committee is responsible for strengthening the capacities of the movement to help and facilitate adhered members to acquire houses or dwellings built in a healthy and sustainable living environment.
SENCAD is a 501C non-profit organization platform that allows
the community to connect in a more efficient manner. Despite
the limited means of communication and financial resource weakness, the founders managed tremendous efforts and
determination to overcome challenges.
